Kitah Bet Celebrates Purim at the Andrus-on-Hudson Senior Residence
Wednesday, March 23, 2005

Purim mitzvot include the reading of Megillat Esther, festivity and rejoicing, and Shalach Manot (sending gifts). On Erev Purim, the Mishkan Ha'am community will partake in the first two mitzvot. But Kitah Bet students, Daniel, Jesse, Lila, Noah and Sophia along with Boris (our guitar-playing teacher extraordinaire) did us proud by performing songs, telling the story of Purim and delivering Mishloach Manot to residents at the Andrus-on-Hudson Senior Residence!

The photos may not capture the melody of the kids' voices in song… or their clear reading and delivery of the Purim story… but you can imagine the touching, sweet moments when they delivered the Mishloah Manot and had a brief conversation with each resident.

The Mishkan Ha'am community thanks them for delivering these gifts with such grace, generosity and joy.
