Yom Kippur Break-Fast Details

The Mishkan Ha’am communal Break-Fast follows immediately after Neilah on Yom Kippur at the Park Hill Racquet Club.

The dairy menu includes bagels, lox, cream cheese, whitefish, kugel, cheeses, nuts, gefilte fish, herring as well as cakes and sweet treats, fresh fruit, flavored yogurts, coffee, tea, juice, lemonade, milk, and other delicious surprises. Gluten-free and vegan options available upon request.

In order to plan and prepare food for our all-dairy Yom Kippur break-fast, we need to know who is coming.

Please e-mail Ellen Tattelman at etattelm@montefiore.org with your name and number of adults or almost adults (ages 13 and up) and number of children (ages 5-12) who will be coming or fill out a form on Rosh Hashanah and leave it in the basket.

We would like to collect money for the break-fast in advance this year. This will make it easier for all of us to get inside and enjoy our dinner together.

Please make checks payable to Mishkan Ha’am and send them (or hand them) to

Ellen Tattelman, 225 Park Hill Avenue, Yonkers, N.Y. 10705.

If there is any favorite dish you would like to bring, please let us know as well.

A group of us get together on Yom Kippur to set up the break-fast (cutting vegetables, preparing platters, arranging tables, etc.) between 3:00 and 5:00pm (when the Jonah program begins).  If you would like to help, please let Ellen Tattelman know.

Thank you very much!

Also, please remember to bring non-perishable food for our food drive.
